Grandma on the Ceiling, Future Creeps, You're Never Gone Dance Again. The Horrors of 1990.

Ah hell, I take back all the negative things I've said about the 90s. 1990 was a lit year for horror. So if you've been keeping up you know that The Exorcist is one of my all time fave movies ever. Then they made a sequel and it was a trash fire covered in cancerous fire ants. So what did they do? They went out and made a 3rd film and you know what? It's one of the best sequels ever made. It's super scary and feels like an actual continuation of what made the first film so great. That hospital scene, oh hell. So scary. Then there is Hardware. It bleeds of future synthwave mood. I'll put it on just to vibe and be bathed in neon pinks and purples. I hope the apocalypse is that pretty.

 1990

1. The Exorcist III (Directed by William Peter Blatty)
IMDB plot: A police Lieutenant uncovers more than he bargained for as his investigation of a series of murders, which have all the hallmarks of the deceased Gemini serial killer, leads him to question the patients of a psychiatric ward.

2. Hardware (Directed by Richard Stanley)
IMDB plot: The head of a cyborg reactivates, rebuilds itself, and goes on a violent rampage in a space marine's girlfriend's apartment.

3. Misery (Directed by Rob Reiner)
IMDB plot: After a famous author is rescued from a car crash by a fan of his novels, he comes to realize that the care he is receiving is only the beginning of a nightmare of captivity and abuse.

Bonus Film!!! Horror make-up/effects god Tom Savini finally gets a chance to direct his own film. He comes back full circle with a remake of the zombie film that started it all. And this time, Barbara ain't taking no shit.
Night of the Living Dead (Directed by Tom Savini)
IMDB plot: The unburied dead return to life and seek human victims.

That's all creeps. See you tomorrow for 1991! xoxo
