Space Devil, Geometry Kills, Make a Wish. The Horrors of 1997.

What if I told you that the door hell is in outer space? Yeah, I saw it in a movie so it must be true. Event Horizon is one of those infamous films that the MPAA made cut piles of gore to the cutting room floor. Unfortunately no-one kept the originals so even thought the film is super gory and creepy there would've been lots more. It's still a great film though with tons of creepiness. Think Hellraiser in space. Then we have Cube which is a horror film filmed in a box. Not a cardboard box but a killer box with dangerous square rooms. They managed to put a lot of creepy atmosphere in such a small cube. What's deadlier? The Cube or the people inside? Then what if you made an 80s style, genie as the monster slasher film in the late nineties? Wishmaster is what you end up with and I love it. Chock full of horror icons such as Robert Englund, Tony Todd, and Kane Hodder. Good stuff.
