Okay so this year I am all over the place. If you were to solely look at the year 2013 for my tastes in horror you would be thoroughly confused. You know what though? That's okay. I love it all. The Hollywood-esque trials of a couple of churchy demonologists (who also turned out to be total liars: hmmm who saw that coming?) fighting a demon witch ghost in a big creepy house in the middle of nowhere while a family gets tossed about the house? Yes, I love it. A super slow burn artsy vampire story about a depressed dude who has lots of antique guitars and mopes around his dilapidated Detroit house while his girlfriend reads books and makes blood popsicles? Yup, love it. A found footage film about Bigfoot and the dumb couple going out into the woods to find him and poke him with a stick (then what?) directed by 1980s comedian Bobcat Goldthaith who's whole schtick was to scream is funny voices? Hell yeah, love it. Horror comes in all shapes and sizes and I want it all.
