NBC’s Friday Night at the Movies: Halloween 1981

The night He came home!!! On October 30th 1981, NBC premiered a new simultaneously cut & extended version of John Carpenter's Halloween. It was edited for television to remove some of the "gore" and added scenes with new dialogue explaining that Laurie Strode was actually Michael Myers' sister. It has since been removed from canon but it's pretty entertaining to watch. Put on your footy pajamas and grab a box of Count Chocula to snack on and get scared as this spooky commercial just interrupted your Saturday morning episode of Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends.

Here's some of the added scenes and commercials that aired this spooky night.
