The Horrors of 1963

Hello creeps and welcome to frightful year of 1963. While the previous year was a bit of a horror void, this year we have a plethora to choose from. This year brings you some fowl play (see what I did there?), more Italian witches, and spooky haunted houses. Plus there's a little bonus for you to chew on. wink wink.

1963

1. The Birds (Directed by Alfred Hitchcock)
IMDB plot: A wealthy San Francisco socialite pursues a potential boyfriend to a small Northern California town that slowly takes a turn for the bizarre when birds of all kinds suddenly begin to attack people.

2. I Tre Volti Della Paura aka Black Sabbath (Directed by Mario Bava)
IMDB plot: Boris Karloff hosts a trio of horror stories concerning a stalked call girl, a vampire-like monster who preys on his family, and a nurse who is haunted by her ring's rightful owner.

3. The Haunting (Directed by Robert Wise)
IMDB plot: Hill House has stood for about 90 years and appears haunted: its inhabitants have always met strange, tragic ends. Now Dr. John Markway has assembled a team of people who he thinks will prove whether or not the house is haunted.

Bonus Film!!!
I could not leave 1963 without giving a shoutout to the Grandfather of Gore. I give you...

Blood Feast (Directed by Herschell Gordon Lewis)
IMDB plot: An Egyptian caterer kills various women in suburban Miami to use their body parts to bring to life a dormant Egyptian goddess, while an inept police detective tries to track him down.

Alright critters. 1963 was a great year for horror. How will 1964 fare? Come back tomorrow and find out. xoxo
