Vampire Love, All Hail the New Flesh, and The Car is Jealous of your Girlfriend. The Horrors of 1983.

Hello darklings. 1983 was a weird year for horror. Yes, my favorite film is sexy vampire weirdness with Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, and Susan Sarandon. It has tons of style and though the plot may be sparse it makes up for it in mood. Then you have a film that has weirdness overload. Cronenberg makes you feel funny all over and icky in the best way. Plus Debbie Harry is in it and she's just rad. Then Carpenter doing Stephen King. Just a love story, between and dude and his car. Enjoy. xoxo

 1983

1. The Hunger (Directed by Tony Scott)
IMDB plot: A love triangle develops between a beautiful yet dangerous vampire, her cellist companion, and a gerontologist.

2. Videodrome (Directed by David Cronenberg)
IMDB plot: When he acquires a different kind of show for his station, a sleazy cable-TV programmer begins to see his life and the future of media spin out of control in a terrifying new reality.

3. Christine (Directed by John Carpenter)
IMDB plot: A nerdish boy buys a strange car with an evil mind of its own and his nature starts to change to reflect it.

Bonus Film! Alright ghouls with kids, here's some PG horror for the whole family. I have a soft spot in my black shriveled heart for this film. It's spooky and filled with creepy atmosphere. It's based off the wonderfully spooky book by Ray Bradbury.
Something Wicked This Way Comes (Directed by Jack Clayton)
IMDB plot: In a small American town, a diabolical circus and its demonic proprietor prey on the townsfolk.

That's it creepers. I'll see you tomorrow for 1984.
