They mostly come out at night, mostly. Ellen Ripley is one of the most badass action heroes ever and I wanted to be her when I was little. Well, I wanted to be a cross between her and Lita Ford. Big hair and skimpy glam metal outfit. Flamethrower in hand, mowing down scores of terrifying aliens. Yeah, I still wanna be that. You know what I don't want to be? I don't want to be a half human half fly creature that has to puke on my food to eat it. Screw that. That's just disgusting. I also don't want space slugs living in my brain and turning me into mush. I don't want that either.
1986
1. Aliens (Directed by James Cameron)
IMDB plot: Ellen Ripley is rescued by a deep salvage team after being in hypersleep for 57 years. The moon that the Nostromo visited has been colonized, but contact is lost. This time, colonial marines have impressive firepower, but will that be enough?
2. The Fly (Directed by David Cronenberg)
IMDB plot: A brilliant but eccentric scientist begins to transform into a giant man/fly hybrid after one of his experiments goes horribly wrong.
3. Night of the Creeps (Directed by Fred Dekker)
IMDB plot: Alien brain parasites, entering humans through the mouth, turn their host into a killing zombie. Some teenagers start to fight against them.
I was going to put some bonus films but there are just too many that I enjoy and couldn't decide which to add. So, just head out to your local video store and see which VHS covers look the best to you. Good luck. That's it creeps. See you tomorrow for 1987. xoxo
