What does Audrey Hepburn, Sharon Tate, and a Russian priest haunted by beautiful corpses have in common? They make up my favorite spooky films of 1967.
1967
1. Wait Until Dark (Directed by Terence Young)
IMDB plot: A recently blinded woman is terrorized by a trio of thugs while they search for a heroin-stuffed doll they believe is in her apartment.
2. Eye of the Devil (Directed by J. Lee Thompson)
IMDB plot: Workers employed at a French vineyard quietly follow old pagan rituals that call for the life of the marquis owner to save his crops during dry seasons.
3. VIY (Directed by Konstantin Ershov, Georgiy Kropachyov)
IMDB plot: A young priest is ordered to preside over the wake of witch in a small old wooden church of a remote village. This means spending three nights alone with the corpse with only his faith to protect him.
Alright my lovelies, thanks for visiting my lair. Be sure to return tomorrow with extra spooky snacks for the horror of 1968. xoxo
